It adopts a “student-centered” approach in teaching where the classroom is considered a non-threatening environment where students can actively participate in discussions and activities that develop their communication skills as well as their logical, mathematical, critical and creative thinking abilities.

Each of the courses prepares its graduates to be globally competitive at the same time equips them with desirable values and professional work ethics.

Bachelor of Arts: Major in English

This course aims to produce graduates with excellent and functional knowledge of English. Its curriculum includes a balanced exposure of English language and literature. Literary exposure is not limited to English but also American, Afro-Asian, and other European countries as well.

Philippine literature is equally prioritized to develop professionals who are not alienated to their own culture. Aside from English subjects, basic Education courses are also added to the curriculum to ensure that our graduates are effective College Instructors and they are also qualified to take Teachers’ Licensure examination.

Bachelor of Arts: Major in Music

We are the only institution in the city that offers Music as a major field of study for both male and female students. The Sala Foundation Inc. which is famous with their Peace Philharmonic Orchestra is our partner in this field. Our students are assured of quality education through experienced and skilled instructors who are musicians and conductors themselves.

Teaching is individualized and students have actual exposure to instruments, orchestra and concerts.

Bachelor of Arts: Major in Political Science

The curriculum of this course is specially designed to prepare students for Law school. Instruction is primarily focused to develop excellent communication skills, logical thinking and reasoning among students through classroom and public debates.

The course aims to train students to become efficient and effective public officials and servants here or abroad. This department is proud of its intelligent students and equally gifted instructors. Its course curriculum is also updated and well-reviewed to suit the needs of the times.

AB General – will open and accept enrollees in School year 2002 – 2003. This course caters to pre-medical, medical, and paramedical students. The CAS department is preparing a good curriculum and excellent laboratories for the course.

AB Biology – the course is an excellent training ground for those who desire to pursue medical courses or for those who wish to become Biology College Instructors. Learning forms of life through theories is enhanced with field trips and seeing real specimen. Students are individually attended by instructors during laboratory experiments and activities. We have excellent Biology instructors who are not only experts in this field of study but they are also armed with teaching methodologies.

Bachelor in Elementary Education

This course aims to develop future Elementary teachers who are seriously trained to handle pupils. Our graduates are equipped with a wide knowledge of teaching methods and strategies.

The University also offers them in the campus a laboratory school for their Practice Teaching. The course curriculum is updated and reviewed to assure that our students get quality Education and they are employable when they finish the course.

Bachelor in Secondary Education: Major in Computer Education

The course aims to provide students technical knowledge about computers, the importance and relevance of information technology to educators, and teaching methodologies on the use of computer as a teaching tool in the classroom.

These learnings shall enable graduates of the course to become effective Computer Teachers in the future. Students can avail the University’s updated computer facilities that include air-conditioned computer laboratories in the elementary, high school, and college departments fully equipped with new computers with built-in internet system.

Bachelor in Secondary Education: Major in English

The course aims to produce High School English educators adept in English teaching. Instruction is anchored in the belief that high school students should be provided with excellent education, thereby giving students a strong educational foundation in that level.

The goal of the course is to provide our country with high school English teachers in both the private and public sectors who can effectively teach English as the language of business and commerce and around the world.

BSED Major in Mathematics – we welcome students who have passion for Mathematics and who wish to teach mathematics to High School students. The course addresses the country’s need for more Mathematics and Science teachers.

BSED Major in Pilipino – the course aims to train students to be good educators of our National language. Our graduates as future Pilipino teachers in the High School level are expected to promote through effective teaching the Pilipino language and its usage and literature among high school students.

Bachelor of Science in Social Work

Our thrust in Social Work education is to develop students with pro – human passion. The course provides them with the essential knowledge, experiences, and skills so that they are able to translate this passion into building capacities of individuals, groups and communities to effect change on themselves and their environment with the end goal of enhancing social capacities and well – being.

The Social Work four (4) year curriculum has four major components: 1) Human Behavior and Social Environment which deals with theories, concepts, principles, values, and perspective on personal growth, personality development, dynamics of the Filipino family, Philippine realities, structure and processes of groups and communities, and dynamics of psycho – social problems (deviation in human behavior);

2)History, Philosophy and Ethics, Social Policy and Social Welfare Programs, Social Agency Administration and Supervision which include key concepts, functions, traditional and emerging fields of social welfare and social development, historical evolution, social welfare and responses to human needs and problems through social welfare policies and programs, as well as performance of social work functions;

3) Social Work Methods which embraces theories, concepts, principles, values, approaches, skills, and trends in the use or application of helping methods in working with individuals, groups, and communities;

4) Field Practice where students are given the required 1,000 hours of exposure and training in the application of the Social Work methods in specific situations, drawing upon the theories, concepts, principles, and values covered by all the preceding components.

Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Service Technology

AHRST is a two-year course that aims to provide our students excellent skills in serving Hotels and Restaurants. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that students are given very good exposure of jobs in the Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Marketing, and on-the-job training in prestigious Hotels and Restaurants.

Our students are trained by experienced instructors whose impressive resumes include jobs in five-star Hotels in the country. Aside from equipping our graduates technical skills, our classroom instruction includes developing among our students the values of discipline, good grooming, and commitment to service.

Our facilities in the campus includes a Mini-hotel in the Alumni Hall and a Voc. Tech. Building with Function rooms, a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable classrooms.
