Master of Arts in Education
The Master of Arts in Education offers four major fields, namely Educational Management; Curriculum and Instruction; Elementary Education; and Pre-Elementary Education.
M.A. Ed. Major in Educational Management
is designed to equip incumbent or prospective administrators, supervisors, principals or teachers-in-charge with the skills needed in the research and management of educational institutions as these relate to their respective environments. Its thrust is to provide masterands with research skills and management tools that will enhance their capabilities and competencies in managing educational institutions or its various units, as well as to plan out and implement programs or projects relative to the concerns of their institution.
M.A. Ed. Major in Curriculum and Instruction
is programmed for teachers, curriculum writers, and module-makers who want to improve and enrich their curriculum to make it relevant and responsive to the needs of their different clients based on research and related studies.
M.A. Ed. Major in Elementary Education
is designed for teachers who want to improve their own teaching skills and of the pupils' learning activities through modern approaches and strategies as well as through research and other scholarly activities.
M.A. Ed. Major in Pre-Elementary Education
is envisioned for teachers who want to work with pre-schoolers aging 3 - 6 years in order to develop the children’s physical, intellectual, social and emotional skills.
Master of Arts in Education for Non-Education Graduates
This Masteral program major in educational management and also curriculum and instruction incorporates the 18 units required of professionals who want to teach in the collegiate or secondary level.
Doctor of Education
This program aims to produce specialists and experts who can undertake scholarly work, conduct prioritized educational research and provide leadership in institution buildings, values training, and management of educational institutions and related endeavors.
It also aims to inculcate social consciousness and a sense of responsibility; commitment to the national/regional goal; and development of productive educational leaders who will promote improvement of the quality of human life.
Master of Science in Social Work
This program aims to produce scholar-researchers in social work education and in social work practice. Masterands' empirical studies in social work practice, social administration, field practice and intervention strategies would help them improve the quality of life of others especially among the depressed, marginalized, oppressed and poor people.
Master of Public Administration
The Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program is designed with the broad purpose of developing qualified personnel, strengthening executive leadership, and raising standards of administrative performance in the public service. It seeks to provide researchers, teachers and students with the knowledge and research skills in the field of public administration and the theoretical background and technical skills needed for the analysis and effective implementation of public policy in a developing country.
Master of Science in Environmental Management
The MSEM program integrates the biological, social and physical sciences to provide advanced education in basic and applied environmental sciences and management, develops critical and analytical abilities and fosters the capacity to conduct research into the structure and function of ecosystems and their interlinked human social systems.
This program is open to all graduates of Bachelor degree programs accredited / recognized by the Commission on Higher Education.
